Review: THE SPY WHO CAME IN FROM THE COLD, @sohoplace
by Clementine Scott - November 27, 2025
This is a tale exhilaratingly told, and if it fails it fails for being too inventive, rather than not inventive enough.

Recently, we had the chance to speak with McKeever and Souza about Daniel’s Husband’s upcoming London run. We discussed how each of them first got started in the world of theatre, what it’s been like to prepare the show for its upcoming run and what makes Daniel’s Husband more than just a show about gay marriage.
Review: Beczala and Golovatenko Make Met’s CHENIER a Memorable Night under Rustioni
by Richard Sasanow - November 26, 2025
For those of us who like verismo opera—combining the raw emotions of everyday people with historical splendor—but have heard one too many BOHEMEs, TOSCAs, TURANDOTs and BUTTERFLYs in this lifetime, noting Giordano’s ANDREA CHENIER in the Met’s repertoire for this season seemed like a godsend. Not seen in these parts since 2014, this tale of the French Revolution, a poet (the title role, sung by tenor Piotr Beczala) and blinding love set to a sweeping score was something to look forward to.

Every once in awhile you go to see a show not knowing what the final product is going to be.
