The Young People's Chorus of New York City will present its 2026 Gala Concert & Benefit Dinner at Jazz at Lincoln Center’s Frederick P. Rose Hall on Monday, March 16, 2026, at 7:00 p.m. The evening will feature special guest artist Joyce DiDonato and will raise funds for programs that serve more than 2,000 young people annually across New York City.

The gala concert will celebrate the nation’s 250th anniversary with a program exploring American culture and song. Approximately 450 young choristers will perform under the direction of YPC Founder and Artistic Director Francisco J. Núñez and Creative Director Elizabeth Núñez. The repertoire will span classical, spiritual, folk, and popular traditions, with selections ranging from Samuel Barber to contemporary composers including John Leavitt and Gordon Getty. The performance will be accompanied by a 25-piece orchestra and will feature choreography by Jacqueline Bird.

Following the concert, guests will attend a Benefit Dinner in the Appel Room, where they will hear more about YPC’s mission and programming.

“YPC's gala is a celebration of what becomes possible when young people are given the opportunity to discover their voices,” said Francisco J. Núñez. “This evening helps ensure that our choristers continue to grow in confidence, artistry, and hope for the future.”

Proceeds from the event will support YPC’s after-school choral programs, in-school music education initiatives in 17 New York City schools, and the College Bound program, which reports a 100% college continuation rate among graduating seniors. Funding also supports YPC’s partnership with the Kips Bay Boys and Girls Club in the Bronx and national and international touring opportunities. Recent tours have included China, New Zealand, Japan, and Canada, with a tour of India planned for 2026.

Concert-only tickets start at $130. Tickets for the Gala Concert and Benefit Dinner begin at $1,500.
