Rover Dramawerks Presents DILEMMAS WITH DINNER, Opens 7/15

Rover Dramawerks is pleased to present the hilarious farce, Dilemmas With Dinner, opening on Thursday, July 15. Performances will be at the Cox Building Playhouse, 1517 H Avenue in Plano (next to the Courtyard Theater), continuing through August 7, with shows on Thursdays, Fridays, and Saturdays at 8:00 p.m., and an additional matinee performance on Saturday, July 24 at 2:00 p.m.
You think you've had some bad dinner parties? It's 1987. Big hair, shoulder pads, and Madonna are all the rage. Brooke, an ambitious junior executive (played by Cassie Walters), invites her boss and his wife (played by Howard Korn and Mary Tiner) over for dinner in the hopes of securing a promotion. Her husband (Beauen Bogner) comes home suffering a back injury from a now ex-employee (Clint Prentice) who won't take "fired" for an answer. The hired help (Cyndee Rivera) turns out to be the boss' ex-daughter-in-law, not to mention Brooke's assistant's boyfriend's ex-girlfriend (Arianna Glanville and Isaac McGinley). A riotous farce complete with doors slamming, appetizers flying, and candlesticks attacking - all before dinner is even served. And Brooke's boss has an announcement to make....
Anton Bucher directs and designs the sound, with Sonya Jones and Taylor Long sharing Assistant Director/Stage Manager duties. Charis Royal is set designer, with Lindsey Humphries as Master Carpenter. Joslyn Justus is costume designer, Kelly Williams is properties designer, and Jacob Hughes is lighting designer.
Tickets for Dilemmas With Dinner are $15.00 on Thursdays and matinees and $18.00 on Fridays and Saturdays. Thursday, July 15 is Preview Night, and all seats are "pay-what-you-can." On Saturday, July 17, Rover Dramawerks invites all patrons to a reception after the performance with the cast, director, and designers, as well as Rover board members.
