By: Nov. 12, 2010

The Hartt School presents the Fall Choral Concert, an evening of sterling a cappella singing, on Friday, November 19, at 7:30 PM, at the Immanuel Congregational Church, 360 Farmington Avenue (corner of Farmington and Woodland Avenues), Hartford. A suggested donation of $15 will be collected at the door. Please visit www.hartford.edu/hartt for more information.

Hartt's four choral ensembles - Hartt Camerata, Chamber Choir, Choir, and Chorale - led by Edward Bolkovac, Colin Britt, Gabriel Löfvall, and Stuart Younse, present a program of American and Hungarian choral works by Bárdos, Barber, Bartók, Ben-Haim, Britt, Copland, Kodály, Lauridsen, Thompson, Voth, and Whitacre, as well as rousing spirituals and American folksong settings. Vocal Studies Division Director Edward Bolkovac says of the concert, "Listening to the warm and inspiring sounds of a cappella choral singing in a great acoustical space is a beautiful way to end a busy week."
