Idle Muse Theatre Company, founded in 2004 in Evanston, IL, will end its production of JERRY AND TOM on March 21st. JERRY AND TOM is directed by Lenny Wahlberg.

JERRY AND TOM, by playwright and screenwriter Rick Cleveland, is a regular story about a couple of regular guys; Tom is a seasoned professional, a master of his trade, and his protege Jerry is an up-and-coming firebrand, an enthusiastic (if a bit frenetic) student of his craft. They have the relationship you'd expect; Tom takes Jerry under his wing and teaches him not only the business but how to be a better man. Jerry, for his part, studies diligently and eventually surpasses his mentor at that business. The only difference between our protagonists and anyone else is that their business is death. They're hit-men.

Watch what unfolds in this shocking dark comedy as we go back through the memories of the eponymous Tom, searching for the moment things went wrong with his young compatriot. In a piece that will challenge and amuse, delight and horrify, and certainly provoke some interesting conversation, we'll follow the protagonists from mark to mark, from lesson to lesson, and learn that just because a story is about death, that doesn't mean it isn't just as much about Life.
