Rasta Thomas, Crossover Dance Show DIONISIO Continues International Tour by BWW News Desk
- April 25, 2019 'Dionisio - La Vid I Mil Noches' ('Dionisio - the Vines and 1000 Nights') is the name of Rafael Amargo's latest crossover dance show. This production will soon continue its international tour due to an invitation to the 65. International Theatre Festival in Mérida/Spain. The only two performances at the historic Teatro Romano de Mérida (constructed in the years 16 to 15 BCE) will take place July 16th and 17th, 2019 and are expected to be sold out quickly. Presales got already started, tickets bought before May 31st can be purchased with a discount of 30%.

- April 24, 2019 National Youth Dance Company (NYDC) returns for its seventh year with a new intake of 28 young dancers who join the 10 dancers returning from previous cohorts. The newly commissioned work choreographed by Botis Seva, premieres at DanceEast in Ipswich on 20 April. MADHEAD then tours to Plymouth, Newcastle, Essex, Brighton, Birmingham and for the first time since its inception, closes at Sadler's Wells on 19 July.

- April 24, 2019 Tap dance workshops, performances and special events herald the return of the American Tap Dance Foundation's Tap City, the NYC Tap Festival, the week long tap dance festival celebrating its 19th year in tap's hometown, New York City. Andy Blankenbuehler (Hamilton, In the Heights) and Jacqulyn Buglisi (Buglisi Dance Theatre) will take center stage in this next installment of Jacques' Art Nest. - April 18, 2019 Norte Maar, a committed Brooklyn-based think-tank dedicated to the creation, promotion, and presentation of collaborations in the visual, literary, and the performing arts, presents the seventh season of Counterpointe, a curated performance series of new choreographic works by female artists and the pointe shoe. Six women choreographers have been paired with six NY metro-based female visual artists to collaborate and create both a new physical and visual work by each while investigating the process of creation, inspiration and development.
