Fond memories erupt when we read the news about the Return of Disney's TARZAN at the STAGE NEUE FLORA in Hamburg. It's been a while since we followed the search for Tarzan and Jane in a Casting Show, filled with so many talented, aspiring artists. Vienna's Reign Opera Ghost, Anton Zetterholm, Winner of the TV-Competition, went out to be the first to wear the famous loincloth, followed by many other familiar faces. One of them is Alexander Klaws (the first to win the German Casting Show Deutschland sucht den Superstar), who returns to the role for selected dates only*.

COME FROM AWAY ( Die VON WOANDERS), the critically acclaimed show, arrived in Austria at the beautiful (but huge) Landestheater Linz.

What did our critic think of MARIA THERESIA at Ronacher? And now it's open, MARIA THERESIA THE MUSICAL, VBW's latest in-house production, a story about one of Austria's and, as well, Europe's most influential women in history, opened at the Ronacher Theater in the heart of Vienna. We gained a glimpse of what to expect during the press call, but nothing had prepared us for what we witnessed.

As summer is coming to a close, theatres are preparing to reopen again. Rehearsals are in full swing, and we are curious about the latest in-house production of the Vereingte Bühnen Wien, MARIA-THERESIA, a show about another famous Austrian historical figure (again, played by a Dutch actress).

Andrew Lloyd Webber's phenomenon is touring through Europe and making a stop in the beautiful Landestheater Linz.

Le Malade Imaginaire found its way to the Musical stage. As hypochondriacs surround us nowadays and every patient is googling their symptoms, instead of asking a professional, only to find out they should have died yesterday (according to their search), why not transform the old play into a comedy Musical, or....?

What did our critic think of ROCK ME AMADEUS at Ronacher?

Moritz Mausser, Vienna's latest Newcomer, is starring as Hans Hölz, aka FALCO, in the latest VBW in-house production- ROCK ME AMADEUS-THE FALCO MUSICAL. While the show ends after two successful and mostly sold-out seasons, it's time to sit down and chat with the show's Leading Man.

First things first, Oliver Edward, born and raised in Vienna, one of the most liveable cities in the world, graduated from Arts Educational School London, joined the first HAMILTON production in a foreign language in 2022 to portray John Laurens/Philip Hamilton and to cover the leading man A.HAM.

HitSquad Records released Frank Wildhorn's Wonderland, loosely based on Lewis Carroll's Alice in Wonderland and Through the Looking-Glass, which had its German-speaking Premiere in September 2024 at the Landestheater Linz.

The 80s are back in town, and we are invited into the legendary Bourbon Room to enjoy small-town Girl Sherrie (Inga Krischke) falling in love with Drew Boley (played by the amazing Matthias Trattner) and witness their roller-coaster relationship.

At the end of the 1920s, Berlin experiences an artistic heyday, the era of the great UFA sound films, and people flock to the cinemas. After Hitler's 'seizure of power' in 1933, UFA came under the pressure of Propaganda Minister Goebbels. Jewish artists are dismissed, and their films are banned. The young music student Fritz is supposed to collaborate with the famous composer Werner Richard Heymann to adapt a planned new music film for propaganda purposes.

What did our critic think of THE STORY OF MY LIFE DIE GESCHICHTE MEINES LEBENS at Theater Spielraum?aMarch 19, 2025, marks the Opening Night for Neil Bartrams (Lyrics and Music) and Brian Hill's (book) Chamber Musical, THE STORY OF MY LIFE (Die Geschichte Meines Lebens- translated by Daniel Große Boymann) at the charming Theater Spielraum in Vienna.

The final curtain for one of Austria's most famous Actors, the legendary Otto Schenk, who sadly passed away on January 9th, has fallen on the probably most prestigious stage, Vienna's St. Stephans Cathedral, in the heart of Austrias beloved capitol. Otto Schenk has been a theatrical institution that inspired and entertained generations, a legend, on and off-stage.

The critically acclaimed revue is hitting the road and stopping in Vienna for a strictly limited run. Ages ago, Berlin was the center of the world, with its Night Clubs, Bars, and the famous Admiralspalast with its Conférenciers the Variety 'Admiral' (played by Simon Stockinger, well-deserved Winner of the 2024 BroadwayWorld Austria Award for  Best Supporting Performer in a Musical). It has been a time full of good music, loads of dancing, liquor, and huge Variety shows; the world danced through Berlin and the doors into the Admiralspalast, the world's melting pot, where everyone wanted to be a part of.

Culinarical 8.0. Wolfgang Ebner's Musical and Dine Dinner show is back for another season, with famous songs from movies. Shortly after the WICKED phenomenon hit movie theatres worldwide, choosing the movie theme for this year's run was smart.
