The National Theatre has announced that its critically acclaimed, sold-out production of Dear England will transfer to the Prince Edward Theatre, in London’s West End, from 9 October 2023 for a strictly limited 14-week run. 

The iconic North London venue, the Roundhouse, has kicked oiff its very first Comedy Festival, running throughout August, The very first event promised a stellar line-up featuring a headline from Rose Matafeo, also featuring Catherine Cohen, Jordan Gray, Lolly Adefope, Rhys James, and Kiri Pritchard-Mclean. Unfortunately, much of the evening felt like we had interrupted early rehearsals of a different show.

TfL have banned another West End production's poster. Operation Mincemeat has received a ban for its latest poster, due to looking like ‘graffiti’. The poster was revised in response to the rapidly growing number of five-star reviews.

Jenna Lee-James is to take over the role of Elsa in Disney’s Frozen when Samantha Barks goes on maternity leave.Barks announced on social media today (August 1) that she was expecting a baby, due in October 2023.

The cult classic Bat Boy: The Musical descends on the London Palladium for a Halloween concert with Jordan Luke Gage (Bonnie and Clyde, Heathers) appearing as fans have never seen him before in the transformational title role. Joining him in the star-studded cast are two-time Olivier Award nominee Victoria Hamilton-Barritt (Cinderella, In The Heights), Trevor Dion Nicholas (Hamilton, Next To Normal) and Jodie Steele (Bonnie and Clyde, Heathers).

This October, renowned multi-instrumentalist and songwriter Nitin Sawhney is set to once more headline and curate the Journeys Festival, an eclectic five-day programme which returns to the Royal Albert Hall following the festival’s sell-out debut in 2021. The season also features an exhibition by photographer Alan Comptonand recitals from Indian classical musician Jasdeep Singh Degun and composer and vocalist Ayanna Witter-Johnson. 

After selling out two shows at the London Palladium in just 5 hours and adding an extra matinee, the European premiere of the multi award-winning manga stage musical Death Note The Musical in Concert will transfer to the Lyric Theatre for six performances from Thursday 7 September - Sunday 10 September.
