Scrooge Returns To Niagara-on-the-Lake In The Shaw Festival's A CHRISTMAS CAROL

Heralding the Old Town of Niagara-on-the-Lake's transformation into the ultimate Christmas village, the Shaw Festival's production Artistic Director Tim Carroll's adaptation of A Christmas Carol hits the stage November 14 to December 23 at the Royal George Theatre.

This year, Molly Atkinson takes over directing duties of the Dickens classic tale from Tim Carroll - the original director of the production. Combining puppetry, music and dance with a dash of stagecraft magic, the family-friendly A Christmas Carol is one of Niagara-on-the-Lake's holiday highlights along with annual festive events including the Candlelight Stroll, skating at Fort George and the Christmas Parade. To further inspire goodwill among all and following a rousing chorus of Christmas carols, audience members can capture the memory by taking a photo on stage with members of the cast.

A Christmas Carol features Michael Therriault as miser Ebenezer Scrooge, together with Kyla Cook, Patty Jamieson, Andrew Lawrie, Marla McLean, Sarena Parmar, PJ Prudat, Graeme Somerville, Sanjay Talwar and Jonathan Tan.

In keeping with spirit of the season, food and money donations will be collected for Project Share at all performances.

This production has an age recommendation of 6+.

Tickets for the 2019 presentation of A Christmas Carol are currently on sale to Friends of The Shaw and will be available to the public December 8.
