Flamenco Coming to New Rep in A TASTE OF SPAIN Alongside MAN OF LA MANCHA Run

New Repertory Theatre presents A Taste of Spain, Sunday, December 17, 2017 in partnership with La Casa de Pedro and Flamenco Boston. This event is being presented in conjuncture with New Rep's production of Man of La Mancha, which begins performances on December 1.

The evening will begin at 4:00pm with a tapas buffet at Las Casa de Pedro, 343 Arsenal Street, Watertown, followed by a performance at 5:30pm by Flamenco Boston in the MainStage Theater at the Mosesian Center for the Arts, 321 Arsenal Street, Watertown, MA.

Tickets are $55 for the tapas and flamenco package and $30 for just the flamenco concert and may be purchased by calling the New Rep Box Office at 617-923-8487 or visiting newrep.org.

Flamenco is an eclectic art form originating from the cultural melting pot that was the south of Spain, blending together the influences of the Andalusians, Moors, Sephardic Jews, Indians, and Gypsies. Flamenco Boston is rooted in these traditions yet employs modern harmonizations and executions of the iconic rhythms. Enjoy an authentic flamenco experience, filled with dynamic footwork, intricate guitar playing, and passionate singing, showcasing the wide emotional range that this art form has to offer.

La Casa de Pedro is a high-spirited, fun and familial dining destination for fine Latin cuisine. Owner and Chef Pedro Alarcón serves simple, authentic, scratch-made dishes that highlight the traditions of his native Venezuela and broader Latin American heritage. Every guest who walks through La Casa de Pedro's doors may as well be walking through the entrance of Pedro's own home; there is no difference in the level of welcoming hospitality. Pedro's is designed to transport guests to a tropical getaway.
