(4/11/2014) - RSC Artistic Director Gregory Doran has announced the company's Summer 2014 season in Stratford-upon-Avon with three early titles in the Company's six year journey across Shakespeare's entire First Folio of 36 plays. They are Henry IV Part I, Henry IV Part II, and The Two Gentlemen of Verona. They will be shot for broadcast as part of "Live from Stratford-upon-Avon," a program that screens the world's greatest classical theatre company from Shakespeare's home town around the world through a continued partnership with Picturehouse Entertainment. This year also marks the 450th anniversary year of Shakespeare's birth.

Recipient of the Order of the British Empire and two-time Laurence Olivier Award winner Fiona Shaw will open this year's United Solo Europe with her remarks on solo theatre. The performers participating in the European showcase come from Finland, Sweden, Poland, USA, and Italy. The program includes a show by five-time Grammy nominee LynnMarie Rink and one directed by Austin Pendleton, as well as a solo version of "Hamlet" and a magic piece about the discovery of an Alfred Hitchcock film. Special guests include members of the original West End cast, Marti Webb, Gay Soper and Tom Saffery.
