BWW speaks to Iain Connell of Burnistoun ahead of his run at the 2016 Edinburgh Festival Fringe.

For anyone who doesn't know - what is Burnistoun?

Burnistoun is a BBC sketch show set in a fictional Scottish city.

How has the reception been outside of the UK since Burnistoun was added to Netflix?

I've had people from Canada and the USA getting in touch on Twitter to say that they've recently discovered the show, but the sketches have been seen all over the world because of YouTube. A Russian TV channel came to Glasgow to interview us about our voice recognition lift sketch.

Have you had to do any translating?

Again, because of YouTube, we've had some of our sketches subtitled for Russians. Also, a Scottish guy working in South Korea subtitled a few sketches. We have to just assume it's accurate and the translators aren't rewriting it all with their own jokes.

Your past Glasgow shows have sold out very quickly - does that add any pressure?

No. The only pressure comes from ourselves and the desire to put on a good show.

What's next for you after the Fringe?

We'll be focusing on our other live comedy show UNCLES and hitting the towns and cities with that.

Ticket information and timings for Burnistoun Live At The Fringe are available on the edfringe website.
