ALTMAN'S ART Screening with Bob Balaban Set for Bay Street Theater, 6/8
(5/22/2015) - Bay Street Theater & Sag Harbor Center for the Arts is pleased to announce Altman's Art, a screening of Gosford Park and a discussion of the work of one of Americas greatest filmmakers on Monday, June 8 at 7 pm. The evening will also include a talkback hosted by Bob Balaban, with Guilia D'Agnolo Vallan, and Kathryn Altman-the widow of Robert Altman. (5/21/2015) - 'Hay Fever'-Noel Coward's quintessentially theatrical comedy of British bad manners-will be the fourth and final production of the Hampton Theatre Company's 30th anniversary season, opening tonight, May 21 at the Quogue Community Hall and running through June 7.
BWW Reviews: BroadHollow's THE RAINMAKER
(5/20/2015) - The Rainmaker, BroadHollow Theatre Company's current offering, seems to be produced quite often; and that's ok. It's nice to break away from the glitz and fluffiness and see a raw, truly emotional play that makes you feel. The melodrama, by N. Richard Nash, is now running at BroaHollow's BayWay Theatre in East Islip, Long Island, through June 28th continuing at their Elmont location beginning July 11th.
UPDATE: The Phantom Is Finally Coming To America- LOVE NEVER DIES Will Tour US in 2017; Statement Released
(5/19/2015) - BroadwayWorld has just learned that the Phantom will soon return to America in the continuation of Andrew Lloyd Webber's most beloved musical. Love Never Dies is set to tour North America in 2017. This is the highly acclaimed follow up musical to the 1986 love story The Phantom of the Opera set against the spellbinding backdrop of Coney Island. A German production is also set to open in Hamburg this fall.
Casting has not yet been announced.
