(1/24/2015) - What a great time to live in Columbus! First, the Ohio State Buckeyes pull out a National Championship victory, then we host the first-ever All-Star hockey game. As part of the festivities, M3S Sports teamed up with the NHL and the Columbus Blue Jackets to launch an All-Star 5K race through downtown Columbus in the heart of the Arena District. Although much of Columbus was working their way over to the Ohio Stadium to celebrate the Bucks' victory, 4,000 runners and walkers came out to participate in this awesome race.

(1/22/2015) - The audience for the Jan. 21 premiere of THE GREAT ONE looked decidedly different than most of the opening night spectators at the Short North Stage. About 40 percent of the viewers for the one-act musical, written by Scott Hunt and J.J. Tiemeyer, came to the downtown theater donning hockey sweaters and sweatshirts and even broke into a chant of 'Let's Go Jackets' before the beginning of the play.

These are just a few of the one-word descriptions the young actors in Columbus Children's Theatre's (CCT) Summer Youth Performance Conservatory used to describe their feelings after yesterday's adjudicated performance of Into the Woods Jr. at the Junior Theatre Festival in Atlanta, Georgia. Another word was "sad." Sad that the adjudication was the final time this group would perform together.

(1/17/2015) - During our free time this morning, we were walking by the main stage area where the doors were closed and the security was tight. We could hear the roar of Lion King music and voices rehearsing inside. Although they wouldn't let us in, we stood outside in awe for a moment. As we walked away, we spotted a door around the corner that was cracked open. I took four JTF students inside. We sat in the back row - probably 100 rows from the stage and just watched these incredibly talented children sing thier hearts out.
