Scoop: SWITCHED AT BIRTH on ABC - Monday, October 15, 2012The switched baby trial begins on an all new episode of “Switched at Birth,” airing Monday, October 15th at 8:00PM ET/PT on ABC Family.

In “The Trial,” the lawsuit against the hospital comes to a head as Angelo (guest star Gilles Marini, “Dancing with the Stars: All Stars”) returns in time for the beginning of the trial.

Meanwhile, Bay scrambles to return the money she “borrowed” from John to help Zarra (guest star Tania Raymonde, “Lost”). Daphne and Jeff (guest star Justin Bruening, “All My Children”) struggle in their relationship; and Emmett, Nikki (guest star Cassi Thomson, “Big Love”) and Toby form a new band.

“Switched at Birth” is executive-produced by Lizzy Weiss (“Blue Crush”), Paul Stupin (“Make It or Break It”), Becky Hartman Edwards (“Parenthood”) and John Ziffren (“Melissa & Joey,” “Make It or Break It”). The series stars Katie Leclerc as Daphne Vasquez; Vanessa Marano (“Gilmore Girls”) as Bay Kennish; Constance Marie (“George Lopez”) as Regina Vasquez; D.W. Moffett (“Friday Night Lights”) as John Kennish; Lea Thompson (“Back to the Future,” “Caroline in the City”) as Kathryn Kennish; Lucas Grabeel (“High School Musical”) as Toby Kennish; and Sean Berdy as Emmett Bledsoe, with guest star Marlee Matlin (“The West Wing”).
