Photo Flash: ABC's 'The Chew' Visits Set of MARY POPPINS

It's up, up and away for 'The Chew's' Carla Hall who recently visited the set of Broadway's MARY POPPINS where she was transformed into Mary herself. Hall spent time with the cast, including current lead actress Steffanie Leigh, and even learned how to fly. The segment airs Wednesday, April 4, 2012 on ABC's "The Chew." "The Chew" airs MONDAY - FRIDAY (1-2 pm, ET) on the ABC Television Network.

Steffanie Leigh joined the cast of Broadway's MARY POPPINS on October 11, 2011. She previously played the role for eight months on the road. Her regional theatre credits include Jacques Brel is Alive and Well and Living in Paris, Seven Brides for Seven Brothers, Beauty and the Beast, 42nd St., Into the Woods, Grease, Mame and Les Miserables.

MARY POPPINS became the 28th longest-running show in Broadway history on Friday, March 9. The Broadway production officially opened on November 16, 2006 and is the only show from the 2006-2007 theatrical season still running. With six productions produced on three continents, MARY POPPINS is one of the biggest stage musical successes to emerge from London or New York in recent years. Worldwide to date, the show has grossed over $679 million and welcomed 9.6 million guests.

MARY POPPINS received its worldwide premiere at the Prince Edward Theatre in the West End in December 2004. Following its successful three-year London run, the production launched an acclaimed U.K. tour. The MARY POPPINS North American tour has also garnered continuous critical praise and achieved box office success since its launch in Chicago in March 2009.

The musical is the winner of 44 major theatre awards around the globe, including Tony®, Olivier, Helpmann and Evening Standard awards.

In addition to Broadway and the North American tour, MARY POPPINS can also be seen in Brisbane, Australia. Productions of MARY POPPINS have also been mounted in Finland, Netherlands, Denmark and the Czech Republic.
