Jimmy Fallon, Betty White Visit JAY LENO's Final Week
As Jay Leno heads into the final week of his tenure as host of NBC's THE TONIGHT SHOW, two special guests, Jimmy Fallon and Betty White, stopped by last night to wish him well.
?"Jimmy Fallon is here tonight. He's not here to talk - he's helping me pack," quipped Leno during his opening monologue for Monday's show. "You know Jimmy starts as new host of Tonight Show on the 17th - and it would be strange if there was some accident and he was not able to ... fulfill his duties as host."
"You were lucky to get out of New York today - huge storm," noted Leno when Fallon took his seat beside him on the set. "Yeah. Had to be here. Your last week. This means a lot to me," replied the SNL alum.
Later in the show, Fallon asked the band, "Hey, what are you guys up to in two weeks?" "Oh, they'll be looking for work!" Leno replied. "They're actually washing cars in my garage."
Betty White, who recently celebrated her 92nd birthday, then joined the two comedians. "So, you're still doing two shows," Jay noted of White's busy career. "That wouldn't happen on NBC."
Said the quick-witted White, "NBC did not want [Off Their Rockers] anymore. I guess you can relate to that."
