ANY DAY NOW, Starring Alan Cumming, and BURN Win Tribeca 2012 Audience Awards

According to a report by Variety, the drama Any Day Now and the documentary film Burn won this year's Tribeca Film Festival's audience awards. The honorees were announced at last night's April 28 wrap party.

Travis Fine's Any Day Now, the audience's favorite narrative feature, stars Alan Cumming and Garret Dillahunt as a gay couple who welcomes a young boy with Downs syndrome into their home, and follows their struggle with the politics of gay adoption.

Burn, by Tom Putnam and Brenna Sanchez, documents a fire commissioner's attempt to rebuild and renew the city of Detroit. The film was executive produced by TV's Rescue Me creator/star Denis Leary.

Along with the honors, both projects received $25,000.
