Watch: Pharrell Talks Up 'G I R L' Album
According to ET, Pharrell Williams hosted a 'Google Hangout' to chat about his newly released GIRL album to his fans. Afterwards, the mutli-grammy winning producer and musical artist spoke with ET about his music, and the inspiration behind 'GIRL'.

"I knew I wanted [the album] to be visceral and urgent. I knew I wanted it to be celebratory and festive," said Williams, 40. "It's the album I've always dreamt of making... It's a love story, and that's why the album is made for human beings, it's made for everyone. It's just that my muse were women."
Pharrell is the lead vocalist and drummer of rock, funk, and hip hop band N.E.R.D, which he formed with Chad Hugo and childhood friend Shay Haley. He released his first single "Frontin'" in 2003 and followed up with his debut solo album In My Mind in 2006. His second album, G I R L was released on March 3, 2014.
