Kings of Leon Cancels Upcoming August Tour Dates

According to USAToday.com, Following the accident where drummer Nathan Followill broke his ribs, Kings of Leon will be taking a break from the road for the month of August. The car accident occurred while the band was en route to a hotel after a Boston show and, under doctor's orders, Followill will need to spend the rest of the month recovering.

The band will hopefully resume their tour on Aug. 28.

"The process is now to rest in order for healing to take place. To avoid complications and to make a full recovery, a break from performing to Aug. 28 is necessary," Faiz Bhora, chief of thoracic surgery at Mount Sinai Roosevelt Hospital, said in a statement.

The band will still play Tuesday on The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon, with Questlove filling in for Nathan.
