Photo Flash: First Look - Poster Art for Amanda Seyfried's LOVELACE
A poster for the upcoming film LOVELACE has just been released and features the film's star Amanda Seyfried in an image based on a poster for the 1972 porn film Deep Throat which starred Linda Lovelace.
LOVELACE began filming last December and stars Hank Azaria, Bobby Cannavale, Chris Noth, Robert Patrick, Wes Bentley, Sharon Stone, Juno Temple, Amanda Seyfried and Peter Sarsgaard. Sarah Jessica Parker was recently cast in the role of Gloria Steinem after actress Demi Moore dropped out due to health issues.
Rob Epstein and Jeffrey Friedman ("HOWL," "The Celluloid Closet") are directing from an original screenplay by Andy Bellin ("Trust"). A Millennium Films Production, LOVELACE is produced by Heidi Jo Markel for Electric Pictures, Laura Rister and Jason Weinberg for Untitled Entertainment, and Jim Young for Animus Films, with executive producers Boaz Davidson, Danny Dimbort, Mark Gill, W. Merritt Johnson, Avi Lerner, Trevor Short and John Thompson for Nu Image/Millennium Films. The film is being made with the cooperation of the estate of Linda Lovelace.
From the birth of the sexual revolution to the height of the feminist movement, LOVELACE depicts the life of Linda Boreman who as ‘Linda Lovelace' became the first erotic superstar.
Seyfried will play the title role, with Sarsgaard portraying Lovelace's husband, Chuck Traynor. Hank Azaria will play Deep Throat director Jerry Damiano; Bobby Cannavale and Chris Noth will be Deep Throat financiers Butchie Peraino and Anthony Romano, respectively, and Robert Patrick will portray Linda's father, John.
