ModelLauncher.com Announces First International Contest for Aspiring Models
Online modeling contest Model Launcher (http://www.modellauncher.com) announced today their first international modeling opportunity. The "Face of Fabryan" online modeling contest is being sponsored by participating luxury fashion brand Fabryan London.
The winner will be flown to London to participate in a professional photo shoot and become the official face of the London-based brand. To enter, aspiring models should logon to Modellauncher.com and submit a full-length photo of themselves wearing any dress and a smile. This is the second modeling contest that Fabryan London has sponsored via Model Launcher.
The first was their "Scarves" contest where winner Erin Upton modeled for the brand in the colorful Wynwood Art and Design district in Miami. The photo shoot featured her adorned in the brand's luxury scarves together with incredible graffiti backdrops. Model Launcher's Southeast headquarters recently opened in this up-and-coming area.
"We have always received international submissions through the website and have a vast international following via our Facebook fan page. As one of the few honest and notable resources for aspiring models, it only made sense for us to open our contests to established brands across the globe, providing expanded modeling opportunities for our winners," states Modellauncher.com CEO Bill Staniford.
ModelLauncher.com is a competition-based website that offers aspiring models, both male and female ages 13 and up, a platform to be discovered through various online-themed modeling contests. Every contest on the website is powered by public voting, and contestants are encouraged to share their voting links through a variety of popular social media networks such as Facebook, Twitter, Google+, and Pinterest to increase their chances at winning. Modellauncher.com partners with major fashion labels to offer contestants an editorial-style photo shoot that features exclusive brands. Some of the past brands have included women's couture designer Dominique Auxilly; the nautical-inspired apparel line B.O.A.T. Attire; automotive design company Trans American Muscle; and Macy's South Beach. To date, all winning models have won a trip to Miami, a stay at a Miami luxury hotel, a professional photo shoot, and publicity support to assist them in building their fashion-modeling careers.
"It is extremely difficult for aspiring models to break into the industry, particularly via international channels. Many have to begin their international careers as Fit models, and never have the big break of being the featured face of a brand right out of the gate," continues Modellauncher.com CEO Bill Staniford. "We are changing the game within the modeling industry. You can see the modeling industry changing everywhere you look from Fashion Week runways to celebrities taking over brand advertisements and magazine covers. We are creating much needed opportunities for up-and-coming faces."
