Flit Makes Online Shopping Social

Today Flit, the innovative social shopping experience for iPad, introduced a seamless way to shop online. The app captures the natural real-world activity of flitting between stores and the social experience of shopping with friends.

“Women's shopping is very different from men's. What I love about the Flit app is that it uniquely meets women’s needs,” says KeyLee Sanders, Style Expert and Style Advisor to Flit. “'Women's purchasing is simply more complex due to the sheer range of women's styles and trends, body types, lifestyles, and the need for a closely coordinated workable wardrobe. For that women must shop a wider range of stores and items.“

Flit makes shopping multiple stores easy by unifying over 1,000 retail sites within a single app. Flit's “Speed Search” allows shoppers to go quickly from site to site without having to retype their query, making the discovery experience a delight. Flit uses its shop-smarts to suggest new stores to explore based on your logged favorites.

When interesting items are discovered, Flit then makes it extremely easy to save them. Shoppers can even save - or “Cute” - items directly in a store's search results. Once a shopper has gathered a range of items they can then switch into compare mode.

Flit’s comparison features, a big step up from plain price comparisons, let shoppers compare items in a powerful side-by-side, visual format. It makes the effort of switching between multiple browser tabs a thing of the past. Because Flit takes you right to the source, comparison is done with all the rich product information and imagery found on the store’s site.
