VIDEO: Cast of MOTOWN THE MUSICAL & Berry Gordy Make Broadway Dream Come True on 'Today'
Last week, NBC's TODAY shared the story of Lysanias Taylor, whose daughters posted a video of her crying after they told her they'd bought her a ticket to see "Motown: The Musical" in New York City. Unfortunately, the family could not afford to purchase plane tickets to come to New York to see the show.
The story caught the attention of TODAY and was featured in the show's "Wishing Well" series, in which viewers quickly helped to bring Lysanias and her family to the Big Apple. The three appeared on this morning's TODAY where there were even more surprises in store for them when singers from the hit Broadway show performed live!
Later in the show, Motown founder Berry Gordy himself made a surprise appearance and invited them to be his personal guests at tonight's performance!
Watch the appearances from this morning's TODAY below!
