Meet the BroadwayWorld Staff- Managing Editor Nicole Rosky
BroadwayWorld would be nothing without its ever-growing staff of dedicated writers, reviewers, interviewers, photographers and videographers that help keep you informed about everything that happens on Broadway and beyond. The BroadwayWorld team makes magic happen every day of the week and we want you to get to know the individuals who are responsible for it.
Below, we continue our 'Meet the Staff' series by profiling our Managing Editor, Nicole Rosky!
Name: Nicole Rosky
Title: Managing Editor
Years with BroadwayWorld: Four
First Broadway show: It was supposed to be THOROUGHLY MODERN MILLIE, but that was thwarted by the Great Broadway Orchestra Strike of 2003. It was my family's first trip to New York City, and we didn't find out it was cancelled until we arrived at the Marquis Theatre for the show. I cried all the way home.
My real first Broadway show was GYPSY (with Bernadette Peters), so it ended up being a good one- though I've held a grudge against MILLIE ever since.
Favorite show: RAGTIME. I think that Ahrens and Flaherty are total geniuses and that score KILLS me every time.
Listening to now: I've been playing the Frozen soundtrack pretty much on repeat since Thanksgiving. I'm particularly obsessed with "Fixer Upper."
Favorite site feature: There are many, but I really enjoy watching and being a part of the 'Backstage with Richard Ridge' episodes. I'm constantly in awe of Richie's positive attitude and his respect for the theatre community and I find that particularly inspirational.
Favorite article you've done: Anything that has had to do with the Tony Awards- specifically speaking with all of the nominees on the morning that they get the good news!
Favorite thing about being a part of BroadwayWorld: Just being a part of a community of people who share my interests and are as passionate about theatre as I am. Everything on this site is a result of the hard work and dedication of many people, and it's a constant pleasure to witness it everyday.
