Lea Michele Shares GLEE S5 FUNNY GIRL & NYC Shots

Lea Michele Shares GLEE S5 FUNNY GIRL & NYC ShotsNotable and recognizable crossover Broadway/Hollywood star Lea Michele has made a major mark on mainstream TV audiences with her turn as Rachel Berry on four seasons of FOX's hit musical dramedy series Glee and now the triple-threat is poised to tackle one of musical theatre's most demanding roles as part of the fifth season storyline of the show, none other than FUNNY GIRL - originally starring Michele's own real-life idol, Barbra Streisand.

Michele sports a spunky pink raincoat in a series of shots she herself posted to Instagram earlier this week, depicting the Glee crew at work on yet another NYC-set sequence - including some singing, perhaps, judging from the lip action here - with some special filming even taking place in front of the St. James Theatre on Broadway, complete with a mock FUNNY GIRL revival marquee in place.

Also, Michele took to Twitter to comment on the FUNNY GIRL filming, as well, writing, ""#GleeinNYC #FunnyGirl #Broadway."

The fifth season of Glee premieres on September 26 at 9 PM with the first of two Beatles-themed episodes, followed by the Cory Monteith tribute episode.
