Hugh Jackman In New Poster For THE WOLVERINEBroadway and Hollywood mega-star Hugh Jackman headlines the new installment in the hit X-MEN spin-off franchise featuring his famous character, this one titled THE WOLVERINE, and a brand new poster featuring the athletic triple-threat performer has been released to go along with the exhilarating new international trailer leaked earlier today.

Jackman slices up the scene, launching those famous claws forth torwards the viewer, mimicking the intentioned 3D effect that the film generously features throughout if the new trailer for the James Mangold-directed film is any indication of events to come in the new mutant-themed story.

THE WOLVERINE has been billed by director James Mangold, Jackman and company as a "non-sequel" and set after the events of X-MEN: THE LAST STAND.

Earlier this week, a poster depicting the troubled hero screaming in fury on a barren street below a looming Tokyo storm, blades drawn, was given its first showing, in addition to the first look at an array of other heretofore unseen images.

Also, Hugh Jackman makes another return to the mega-successful X-MEN franchise later this year when he steps in front of cameras to shoot in X-MEN: DAYS OF FUTURE PAST, directed by Bryan Singer, which will feature some heavyweight fellow thespians such as frequent crossover stars Ian McKellen, Patrick Stewart and James McAvoy.

"Eternity can be a curse," it is related in the trailer, yet Jackman looks fit for any fight!

THE WOLVERINE will be released July 26.
