An apartment on the 20th floor of The Strand (500 W. 43rd St) caught fire yesterday at 11:02AM. 27 year-old McClung, who lived on the 38th floor, was found in a stairwell after having suffered 'severe smoke inhalation.' Artistic Director Diane Paulus, with choreography by Darrell Grand Moultrie. The production begins performances at the Loeb Drama Center at 64 Brattle Street, Cambridge on February 4, and will run through March 16. The musical is based upon the novel Oliver Twist by Charles Dickens. It premiered in the West End in 1960, enjoying a long run, a successful Broadway production in 1963 and further tours and revivals. It was made into a musical film in 1968.
