Gadfly's 2014 QUEERulous Cabaret Comes to Minneapolis, 9/21

Gadfly Theatre Productions, a queer and feminist theatre production company presents their annual fundraiser on September 21st at 7:00 P.M.

Featuring some of the best the Twin Cities has to offer in comedy, burlesque, drag, dance, and so much more, this year's event carries on Gadfly's queer and feminist mission with a couple of sets each from performers from all walks of life. Gadfly's season explores some darker genres this year, so this cabaret too has a loose macabre-inspiration that it's Hell's Kitchen setting and always-unpredictable hosting by Mad M. Moxie lend themselves to perfectly.

The QUEERulous Cabaret is one of the most diverse in town--in the ways you come to expect from Gadfly, and in the scope of performance styles. We have dancers Taiyo and the Geek Slink bellydance troupe, drag queens Phaedra Simone and Martina Marraccino, Poet Nikolas Martell, Poet and Singer-Songwriter Oliver Schminkey, comedians Sarah McPeck and Maggie Faris, musical acts Jeffrey Goodson and Evan Boyce, and Burlesque performers Sassy Von Stradler and Melanie Day as Lulu Ritchie, as well as a few surprises and some sneak peeks at the season up our sleeves!

Tickets are available now, and in addition to the cabaret, Gadfly will have a silent auction of goods and services donated from local vendors, and Hell's Kitchen will have their full menu available for purchase. All ticket and silent auction proceeds go to support Gadfly in this breakthrough season of inclusive and uniquely universal work, the artists who work with the company, and raising visibility of queer and female voices and awareness about the issues important to those communities through our brave and unexpected work.
