FROZEN Stage Adaptation For Disneyland Under Consideration By Disney?!
A new theme park attraction featuring a stage adaptation of Disney's current #1 box office hit FROZEN is under consideration by the house of mouse according to a news item on popular Disney fan site Inside The Magic.
The potential Disneyland attraction has already received a preview of sorts with the elaborately outfitted recent run of the film at Hollywood's iconic El Capitan Theater showcasing a potential visualization of what could be in a stage version of the wintry animated musical based on Hans Christian Anderson's classic fairy tale THE SNOW QUEEN.
Of note, back in 2009, Disney announced it was planning on closing its long-running ALADDIN stage show at the iconic landmark, but re-considered that plan following the abandonment of its announced replacement stage vehicle, TOY STORY: THE MUSICAL, which originated on the Disney Cruise Line.
So, could FROZEN finally put ALADDIN on ice and set its roots down at the Hyperion Theater in Disney's California Adventure some season soon, particularly now with a new stage version of ALADDIN set to open on Broadway in 2014? Time will tell!
