BWW Previews: THE ADDAMS FAMILY at Crown Uptown

Crown Arts Collaborative presents Regional Premier of Addams Family Musical Crown Arts Collaborative (CAC), the 501(c)(3) non-profit responsible for the successful re-launch of theatre and art at The Crown Uptown Theatre, opens the 2nd theatrical production of their 2022 season with The Addams Family Musical. Performances run June 3rd - June 26th at the Crown Uptown. Friday and Saturday shows at 8:00 PM, Sunday matinees at 2:00 PM.

It was 1939 when a 12-year-old Jack Mandelbaum’s world was completely turned upside down. The Nazis invaded his Polish home sending his family to the death camps changing his life forever. Six million Jews would die at the hands of Hitler, yet Mandelbaum survived the horrors of the concentration camps. Mandelbaum created a new life for himself with a family of his own. He became a successful businessman and co-founded the Midwest Center for Holocaust Education, an organization that teaches the history of the Holocaust, applying its lessons to counter indifference, intolerance and genocide.

Tallgrass Film Association Releases Schedule of Events and New Film Center

Looking ahead for 2022, the Tallgrass Film Association has numerous events for film fans, and filmmakers to embrace their love of cinema like never before. With a new film center and bringing back favorites such as Dudegrass, Tallgrass has ramped things up for its 20th year. Tallgrass Film Center will partner with Shay Chic Productions and Wichita Creatives on First Friday and Final Fridays to host movie screenings in the cinema while they host art events in Candela in the Lux. The Lux will be the art crawl spot to stop at.

Their production is impressive, powerful, well-cast, and extremely well-wrought, from performances to design elements and direction. Do yourself a favor and get tickets for this show ASAP. The opening week shows were sold out, and I hear the rest of the run is selling out quickly.
