The Standbys follows three undiscovered Broadway performers for several years through their ups and downs, struggles and triumphs, onstage performances and private lives. When these Standbys are finally given the chance of a lifetime, anything can and does happen.

Tony Award nominee and one of the stars of the upcoming Twentieth Century Fox film The Greatest Showman, Keala Settle, as well as cast members of Broadway's Miss Saigon, and Drama Desk nominee Ari'el Stachel and Etai Benson of The Band's Visit, have been added to the line up of this year's Elsie Fest - the first outdoor music festival celebrating the songs from the stage and screen.

Broadway Cares/Equity Fights AIDS announced today that it is awarding $400,000 in emergency grants to organizations working on-the-ground in Florida and Puerto Rico providing immediate support to communities devastated by Hurricanes Irma and Maria. These grants are in addition to $175,000 awarded in Texas after Hurricane Harvey.

In an evening equally heartfelt and nostalgic, uncensored and hilarious, legend Patti LuPoneevoked cheers and tears from an enraptured audience on Sunday, September 24, 2017, as she shared some of her greatest hits and dished inside-theatre tales at Deconstructing Patti, An Evening of Broadway Songs and Stories with Patti LuPone and Seth Rudetsky.
