BWW Previews: NINE AND NUMB BRINGS IMPROV UNFILTERED to Dreamhouse Theater BWW Previews: NINE AND NUMB BRINGS IMPROV UNFILTERED to Dreamhouse Theater
by Deborah Bostock-Kelley on January 14, 2018 in Tampa

Innovocative Theatre Takes on Abortion Conversation in KEELY AND DU Innovocative Theatre Takes on Abortion Conversation in KEELY AND DU
by BWW News Desk on December 27, 2017 in Tampa

Somewhere, a group is holding a young woman in a locked room, against her will. They aren't going to hurt her. They don't want any ransom. They just want to change her mind about her unwanted pregnancy. That's the premise behind Keely and Du, Jane Martin's controversial drama on the continuing, contentious debate over abortion in America. Though it was written almost 25 years ago, current developments in a number of states including Kentucky, Alabama, Indiana and Alaska make this chilling script seem based on events of the present day. by BWW News Desk on December 26, 2017 in Tampa

TampaRep continues it's seventh season with Gnit on January 12 (preview on the 11th), Will Eno's play filled with offbeat humor and absurd, but real, situations. Will Eno, hailed by the New York Times as a Samuel Becket for the Jon Stewart generation, writes plays of depth, filled with off-beat humor and absurd, but real, situations. In Gnit, he's created a faithful, unfaithful, and willfully American misreading of Henrik Ibsen's Peer Gynt. (more...)
