Gateway Playhouse of Somers Point will debut a new series of plays called the “Community Spotlight Series,” which will encompass three well-known shows to be produced throughout the remainder of the year.

Ballyhoo Table & Stage will present a bold, fresh take on RENT, the Pulitzer Prize and Tony Award-winning musical, running July 16 through August 16, 2026.

Diane Keaton made her Broadway debut in the original Broadway production of Hair at the age of 22. The landmark musical started out at the Public Theater off-Broadway in 1967 before transferring to the Biltmore Theatre on Broadway in 1968. Keaton joined the cast for the Broadway run, originating her track in the show.

One of the strangest coincidences of modern musical theatre is the fact that its two foremost composers, Andrew Lloyd Webber, and Stephen Sondheim, share a birthday, March 22.  To honor these men and their unparalleled contributions to the Great White Way, an array of Broadway’s brightest stars will come together to perform songs by both composers at the Segerstrom Concert Hall in Costa Mesa, California on March 28th.
