As BroadwayWorld previously reported, the Tony Award-winning, record-shattering Broadway production of Kinky Boots will play its final performance on April 7, 2019. At the time of its closing, the musical will be the 25th longest-running production in Broadway history, having played 2,507 regular performances and 34 previews.

As Kinky Boots prepares to take its final Broadway bow on Sunday, April 7, some of the cast got together to perform an epic version of 'Take What You Got.' Arranged by past Harry, Jake Odmark, the song features the only three other actors to play the role on Broadway- Andy Kelso (Opening-2014), Ross Lekites (2016-2017) and Corey Mach (2017-Closing). Just last night, the cast and creative team of Kinky Boots had something to say 'yeah' about! Smithsonian Institution representatives, Abbe Raven and Anthea M. On Friday evening, January 18, 2019, Kinky Boots welcomed to the stage for the first time, Tiki Barber, a former American Football running back who played for the New York Giants of the National Football League (NFL) for ten seasons. Barber plays the role of "Don" in the Tony Award®-winning musical at the Al Hirschfeld Theatre (302 West 45th Street) for a limited run through Sunday, March 3, 2019.

Last night, Tiki Barber (NFL superstar and New York Giants legend) took over the role of "Don" in the Tony Award-winning musical Kinky Boots. The show also welcomed Andy Kelso back to the factory as "Charlie Price" and Callum Francis (of Kinky Boots UK and Australia) as he made his Broadway debut as "Lola.'

Former football player Tiki Barber went on GOOD MORNING AMERICA this morning to announce that he has joined the cast of KINKY BOOTS for a six-week run starting at the end of February!

Equality, inclusion and joy permeated the performances at this year's poignant and record-breaking Red Bucket Follies. The company of Kinky Boots took top honors for best onstage presentation. In its number, Kinky Boots bid a farcical farewell to Broadway before the hit show closes this April after six unforgettable years.

Based on a true story, the show follows Charlie Price who turns his father's failing shoe factory into a success by making outrageous thigh-high boots, after a chance meeting with drag queen Lola. From Mid September, a new production heads off on tour around the country and 12 January 2019 will see the final West End Show.

Grammy-nominated band Panic! At The Disco was joined on stage by famed singer Cyndi Lauper at NYCB Live in Uniondale, NY on Friday night. Together, they performed a rendition of her iconic hit 'Girls Just Want To Have Fun'. Frontman Brendon Urie previously met Cyndi during their time together on the critically acclaimed, TONY Award-winning Broadway hit Kinky Boots. Urie starred as Charlie Price, while Cyndi provided music and lyrics for the musical.
