The Off-Broadway engagement of the Tony and Olivier Award-winning musical, Kinky Boots began performances at Stage 42 on July 26th and will open tonight, August 25th. Kinky Boots features 16 original songs by Cyndi Lauper, a book by Harvey Fierstein, and direction and choreography by Jerry Mitchell.  Check out photos and video below! 

Kinky Boots released a sneak peek into their rehearsal room as they prepare to return to the stage beginning on July 26th at off-Broadway’s Stage 42. The video features a behind the scenes look as the company prepares to put the boots on once again, as well as interviews with select company members about the show’s impact and the journey of bringing the uplifting story back to NYC.

On Friday evening, January 18, 2019, Kinky Boots welcomed to the stage for the first time, Tiki Barber, a former American Football running back who played for the New York Giants of the National Football League (NFL) for ten seasons. Barber plays the role of "Don" in the Tony Award®-winning musical at the Al Hirschfeld Theatre (302 West 45th Street) for a limited run through Sunday, March 3, 2019.

Megyn Kelly TODAY welcomes Cyndi Lauper and Harvey Fierstein, who talk about teaming up on the Tony-winning Broadway musical “Kinky Boots,” now marking five years on Broadway. Lauper reminisces about iconic hits like “Girls Just Want to Have Fun” and “True Colors,” which is now the name of her fund for LGBTQ youth experiencing homelessness.

Kinky Boots' original stars Billy Porter and Stark Sands returned to the boots from September 26, 2017 through today, January 7, 2018. Tony Award winner Billy Porter (whose recent studio album: Billy Porter Presents The Soul of Richard Rodgers debuted at #2 on the iTunes R&B charts) and Tony Award nominee Stark Sands (who appears alongside Meryl Streep and Tom Hanks in Spielberg's upcoming The Papers) reprised the roles they created as Lola and Charlie, respectively You can watch their final curtain call below!

KINKY BOOTS producers Daryl Roth and Hal Luftig, along with Grammy and Tony Award-winner Cyndi Lauper and Tony Award-winner Harvey Fierstein, are encouraging people to get out the vote on November 8th. Fierstein and Lauper surprised a recent audience at the Tony Award-winning musical, and joined the cast on stage for a reworked version of the show's Act 1 finale 'Everybody Say Yeah,' and then helped patrons register to vote. STARS IN THE ALLEY, presented by United Airlines, took place just last week in Shubert Alley. Hosted by Tony nominee Sean Hayes and Mo Rocca, Broadway's best once again turned out for the annual performance - including Alan Mingo Jr., who performed 'Hold Me In Your Heart' from KINKY BOOTS.

The Hollywood Chamber of Commerce celebrated Cyndi Lauper and Harvey Fierstein, the creators of the hit Broadway musical Kinky Boots, with the 2,577th and 2,578th stars, respectively, on the Hollywood Walk of Fame in front of the historic Pantages Theatre yesterday, April 11, 2016. Hollywood Chamber President/CEO Leron Gubler emceed, and unveiling the star were guest speakers Sharon Osbourne on behalf of Lauper, and Marissa Jaret Winokur on behalf of Fierstein. KINKY BOOTS producer Hal Luftig and director/choreographer Jerry Mitchell were also on hand to celebrate. Go behind the scenes of the big day below!
