As BroadwayWorld previously reported, Andrew Lloyd Webber's The Phantom of the Opera will open for the first time in Italy at Teatro Stabile del Friuli Venezia Giulia in Trieste on 4th July 2023. Immersive Everywhere's critically acclaimed immersive production of The Great Gatsby will now begin performances on June 6, ahead of an official opening night on June 25, 2023. Adapted and directed by Alexander Wright, the UK's longest-running immersive production will make its American and New York debut at The Gatsby Mansion at the Park Central Hotel New York (870 Seventh Avenue), a Highgate managed hotel.

Angel Blue has withdrawn from the last three performances of Aida due to a family illness.  Christina Nilsson will perform the title role on 23, 27 May and 1 June, making her house debut alongside a sensational cast in Robert Carsen’s 5-star production, conducted by Mark Elder.

The hit show, Gunfight at the Not-So-OK Saloon, is returning to the Hollywood Fringe Festival. Gunfight at the Not-So-OK Saloon is a Gilbert and Sullivan-styled musical comedy set in the Old Wild West with a modern spin.

Mezzo Soprano Christine Bam, a member of the Cape Town Opera Chorus, was named as a winner in the Classical Voice section in the the recent Fine Music Radio (FMR) Bursary Trust Awards held on 10 May 2023 at the Baxter Theatre.
