William Shakespeare's joyous and popular comedy Much Ado About Nothing will open at Pennsylvania Shakespeare Festival, the professional theatre on the campus of DeSales University. The show previews July 13 and 14, opens July 15, and runs through August 7 in the Schubert Theatre at the Labuda Center for the Performing Arts.

James Dacre, the Artistic Director at Royal & Derngate Northampton, has announced the theatre’s new Made in Northampton season, featuring eighteen productions. The programme encompasses plays, musicals, a feature film, On Demand theatre, podcasts and a new interactive digital work.

Shakespeare's Globe has announced the cast and company for a new production of The Tempest running this summer from 22 July - 22 October, directed by Sean Holmes. Shakespeare's tumultuous tale of reckoning and redemption will be brought to life by the Globe Ensemble, who have been thrilling audiences in the critically acclaimed season opening production of Much Ado About Nothing which runs until 23 October.

An uplifting story of hope and survival, Look, No Hands is inspired by a real-life cycling collision in 2010 experienced by the show's writer and performer Lila Clements. Recipient of the 2021 National Partnership Award with Pleasance Theatre and Pitlochry Festival Theatre, this one-person play explores the female cycling experience and the phenomenon known as Post Traumatic Growth.

Overall, 'Desdemona: A Play About a Handkerchief' is a lackluster production. With so many better and more thoughtful options out there, this production doesn’t meet the standard I’ve come to expect of the DC theater scene’s forays into the Bard.

The Royal Shakespeare Company (RSC) has today announced casting for its forthcoming production of All's Well That Ends Well, which runs between 16 August – 8 October 2022 in the Royal Shakespeare Theatre in Stratford-upon-Avon.

Next up at The Wallis, a radical reinvention of Shakespeare’s King Lear, starring Joe Morton in the titular role opens May 14, 2022 (with previews beginning May 10th). John Gould Rubin directs the cast which also includes Mark Harelik, River Gallo, Zach Solomon, Brie Eley, Emily Swallow, Rafael Jordan, Miguel Perez, Stanley Jackson, and Danielle Thorpe. Penguin Rep Theatre announced today the Off-Broadway premiere of Mr. Parker, a new play written by Michael McKeever and directed by Joe Brancato. Performances will begin Wednesday, June 1, 2022, for a limited engagement through June 25, 2022, at Theatre Row – Theatre 1 (410 West 42nd Street). Opening Night is Monday, June 6, 2022, at 7:00PM.
