Tony Award winner Casey Nicholaw directs and choreographs.

Deadline reports that previously-announced 'Saturday Night Live' cast member Shane Gillis will no longer be joining the show. It was revealed in the past week that Gillis' comedy relies heavily on racial slurs. 

On Monday, September 16, 2019, The New York Innovative Theatre Foundation announced the 2019 recipients at the annual Off-Off-Broadway IT Awards. For the past 15 years, the It Awards have celebrated the vibrant and creative indie theatre community under the dedicated leadership of Executive Directors Shay Gines and Nick Micozzi who are stepping down and at the ceremony introduced new leadership for the organization: Cat Parker, Artistic Director of Articulate Theatre Company; Ariel Estrada, Producing Artistic Director of Leviathan Lab Projects; and Jazmyn Arroyo, Co-Founding Artistic Director of Step 1 Theatre Project will join Akia Squiteri, Artistic Director of Rising Sun Performance Company as Directors of the organization.

On Sunday, September 8, 2019 at 2 PM, local performer Vicki Knight will entertain with her show entitled 'September Once More'. The show will feature songs from Vicki's past, singing songs for her days performing at nightclubs in Canada, along with some of those funny stories she is known. Joel Baker, another local favorite, will accompany Vicki on the baby grand.

Previously, only the first two episodes of season 1 and the first episode of season 2 were available to sample in front of the paywall. Beginning today, fans without a YouTube Premium subscription can binge watch the entire first season of “Cobra Kai.” On Wednesday, September 11, season 2 will premiere in front of the paywall for a limited time with one episode dropping each week. “Cobra Kai” is an international smash with the first episode of season 1 boasting nearly 55 million views and the first episode of season 2 besting the season 1 premiere by 136%, making it the fastest YouTube Original to hit 20 million views in just 6 days. Local new works theater company Trademark Theater is heading into production for its third World Premiere. The Hollow, Trademark's most ambitious production yet, is a stunning mix of music, movement and visuals combined to create a new, boundary-breaking piece of theater. The Hollow will run from October 2nd through October 20th, 2019 at the Tek Box in the Cowles Center for Dance and the Performing Arts in Downtown Minneapolis.

Today YouTube Originals premiered the trailer for the highly anticipated second season of their original series LIZA ON DEMAND.  Following more than 38 million views of the season one pilot, LIZA ON DEMAND will return with an all new season on September 25, 2019.  Fans can get excited for the second season by binge watching the first season, which will be made available for free starting today only on YouTube.
