Throughout the cooler months, the South Street Seaport Museum's beloved chantey sing, held on the first Sunday of every month, will move to the hybrid format, inviting participants to gather music lovers both in person and online.

Next month, J.B. Priestley’s beloved comedy, When We Are Married, will open at the Donmar Warehouse. Directed by Tim Sheader, the play follows three couples in a small Yorkshire town as their lives are turned upside down by a shocking revelation. Recently, we had the chance to speak with Jim Howick, who plays Herbert Soppitt in When We Are Married. We discussed how he first got started in the world of theatre, what made him want to be a part of this production, and what he hopes audiences take away from the play.

What follows in this new production of The Wiz is a recontextualization of our favorite characters. While the structure of the story is faithful to the Baum novel and MGM film, it comes with small, but noticeable details that reframe this familiar story not just as a fantastical quest, but as a bildungsroman and revenge tale at the same time.
