That Physics Show

Rubicon Theatre Company will present the Tony Award-winning comedy thriller THE 39 STEPS, adapted from John Buchan's novel and Alfred Hitchcock's film. Directed by Jenny Sullivan and featuring Joseph Fuqua, the show runs from February 11 to March 1, 2026, at Rubicon Theatre in Ventura.

These questions and many more will be answered when professional physics demonstrator David Maiullo returns with his scientific “magic” from the world of physics to Theater 555 in That Physics Show!

It was announced today that the 160-seat off-Broadway theater located at 555 West 42nd Street (between 10th & 11th Avenues) will reopen this fall rechristened as Theater 555. Unused since the start of the Covid pandemic in March 2020, the theater was the home of the Signature and Pearl Theater Company’s.

After five successful years of presenting the Drama Desk Award-winning 'That Physics Show,' three years of 'That Chemistry Show,' and a year of 'That Inventions Show,' Broadway and Off-Broadway producer Eric Krebs has announced the creation of the nonprofit Science Theater Company (STC).

The Off Broadway Alliance has announced that its hugely popular semi-annual ticket promotion, 20at20, will return from September 3 to September 22, 2019. 20at20 makes $20 tickets available to dozens of Off Broadway shows 20 minutes prior to curtain for 20 days.

Due to technical issues (or spy interference) the Off Broadway premiere of I Spy A Spy, a new (declassified) musical comedy, with book and lyrics by Jamie Jackson and book & music by SoHee Youn, directed and choreographed by Bill Castellino (Cagney, Desperate Measures) with musical direction by Dan Pardo (Amazing Grace) will now begin its limited engagement (through September 21) at The Theatre at St. Clement's (423 West 46th Street - between 9th & 10th Avenues) on Saturday, July 6th at 8pm. The show will have its official opening on Thursday, July 18th at 7pm.

That Physics Show, recipient of the 2016 Drama Desk Award for "Unique Theatrical Experience," written and performed by lifetime physics demonstrator David Maiullo, will celebrate its 500th performance on December 23rd. The show is the first of the three science-based shows presented by The Science Theater Company, the newly formed theatre company that "uses the magic of theatre to make science fun," founded by Producer Eric Krebs. In addition to That Physics Show, are That Chemistry Show and That Inventions Show which are all presented at The Playroom Theater (151 West 46th Street - between Broadway & 6th Avenue) and will continue through May 26, 2019.
