Hugh Jackman appeared on Good Morning America to discuss his new film The Son and to make a special announcement that The Music Man woudl extend on Broadway for two additional weeks. Jackman discussed that he noticed a NYC Marathon runner in the audience of the show yesterday after he had run the marathon. Watch the video interview now!

The Music Man has extended its Broadway run by popular demand.  Originally announced to close on January 1, the revival of Meredith Willson’s musical, starring two-time Tony Award®, Grammy Award®, and Emmy Award®-winning star Hugh Jackman as Professor Harold Hill and two-time Tony Award winner Sutton Foster as Marian Paroo, will now play its positively final Broadway performance on Sunday, January 15, 2023.

Tony Award nominee Mark Linn-Baker, will join the company of the revival of The Music Man on Broadway as Mayor Shinn, beginning October 25. As previously announced, Tony Award Winner Jefferson Mays will depart the production on October 23, 2022.

Yesterday, the Barbershop Quartet from the revival of The Music Man visited Chef Melba Wilson at her iconic Harlem institution, Melba’s Restaurant. Melba served up some of her famous dishes before surprising the group with a new special edition item that has been added to her menu: “Melba’s Music Man Sundae.” See photos and video here!

The official cast recording of the Broadway revival of Meredith Willson’s The Music Man, starring two-time Tony Award, Grammy Award, and Emmy Award-winning star Hugh Jackman as Professor Harold Hill and two-time Tony Award winner Sutton Foster as Marian Paroo, will be released this Friday, September 23 at 10 AM ET.

New York Mets manager Buck Showalter expressed fascination with Broadway during a recent press conference after seeing The Music Man.

Audiences are on their feet eight times a week at the Winter Garden Theatre. Broadway superstars Hugh Jackman and Sutton Foster are two of the reasons for the success of The Music Man of course, but the show's young stars are just as repsonsible. 21 young actors made their Broadway debuts when the show opened- two of them were Emma Crow & Gino Cosculluela, who play Zaneeta Shinn and Tommy Djilas.
