Theatrical Rights Worldwide has announced that performance rights for the powerful new musical, WILD HEART, are now available for licensing worldwide.

Fans of The Four Season and those that have seen many productions of Jersey Boys are going to enjoy Maggie Burrow’s nostalgic and fresh take. Pablo David Laucerica’s star is on the rise. He’s terrific vocally and has outstanding stage presence. He will soon be making his Broadway debut in the new musical The Queen of Versailles. Cory Jeacoma continues a fantastic legacy with Jersey Boys after previously playing Bob Gaudio in other productions. His novel take on Nick Massi is one-of-a-kind and a favorite performance in this production. He, Laucerica, and Andrew Poston make memorable Muny debuts. Ryan Vasquez is charismatic in his return to the Muny stage as the greasy Tommy DeVito. The four actors’ genuine truthful portrayals enhance Burrow’s realistic storytelling.

Just In Time’s origin story as well as overall conceit has much in common with one of Broadway’s very first jukebox musicals, which was ahead of its time. This show is an original and fun trip down memory lane with a singing group who offered a unique sound that still resonates almost seventy years later.  JERSEY BOYS was written before almost all the juke box musicals that have overwhelmed the Great White Way today. 

The Ruth and Nathan Hale Theater (The Ruth), the new home and moniker for Hale Center Theater Orem, is hitting its stride with the PG-version of JERSEY BOYS in the Smith Grand Theater on the dōTERRA campus in Pleasant Grove.

A juke box musical consists of pre-existing songs which are melded into a script to tell a story.  The songs, in contrast to lyrics and music, which are specifically integrated into a traditional musical’s story, don’t always smoothly transition into the juke box tale.

What did our critic think of JERSEY BOYS at ZACH? JERSEY BOYS is widely regarded as one of the greatest jukebox musicals of all time, praised for its authentic storytelling, strong performances, and iconic music. Typically, I often judge a jukebox musical against my belief that they’re low hanging money making fruit. Some productions of this type of musical are better than others, and some are exceptions. ZACH’s JERSEY BOYS is an exceptional exception.
