This gala (as in the first) has been proof of that, as each artist is showcased in musical theatre numbers that have defined his/her careers. The evening is fast-paced, witty, and poignant by turns, allowing the audience to revel in the emotional ride that fine theatre provides.

Jazz Hands (and Masks) Up! Young people representing 50 groups from 19 states have agreed to follow strict safety protocols so that they may come together to perform musical theater in person at the inaugural 2021 Junior Theater Festival Texas (JTF Texas), taking place in Sugar Land, TX, on June 25, 26, and 27.

BroadwayWorld is saddened to report that composer Jim Steinman has passed away, according to TMZ. He was 73 years old.

Casting has been announced for the first ever UK and Ireland tour of WAITRESS opening at the New Wimbledon Theatre on 4 September 2021. The show will star Lucie Jones as 'Jenna', Sandra Marvin as 'Becky', Evelyn Hoskins as 'Dawn' and Busted's Matt Willis as 'Dr Pomatter'. 

Master Teacher Richard Lawson will be joined by casting director Marci Liroff on Saturday, April 10th as part of The Richard Lawson Studios Self Tape Master Class series. Twenty actors will be given the opportunity to have their self-tape auditions assessed and redirected by Mr. Lawson and Ms. Liroff. Classes take place Saturday mornings at 10 AM PST via Zoom.

The creative team and full cast list has been announced for the hilarious, feel-good musical, The Wedding Singer, which will have its Australian premiere in just two weeks on Friday 9 April.
