A Very Naughty Christmas - West End History , Info & More

Southwark Playhouse Elephant
Dante Place 80 Newington Butts London
Market West End
Previews November 28, 2024
Santa’s coming! (Too soon?)

Direct from down under, Australia’s favourite adults only Christmas comedy is coming to London, and trust us, the tree won’t be the only thing getting lit!

This Christmas, let loose and indulge in some adult-only ‘elf-care’ with our live band, eight above-average performers and plenty of surprises from Santa’s sack.

If you like having a laugh, partial nudity and a playlist with everything from classic carols (which you’ll never hear the same way again) to modern pop, A Very Naughty Christmas is the show that’s sure to get you in a holiday mood. So whether you’re planning to be naughty or nice this year, pour a glass of cool Chardy and join us for a night of escapism, debauchery and some very rogue jingle bells.

Interview: Two Seans: Marlow & Brown of DEATH OF A DRAG QUEEN at Portland's THE ECHO THEATER CO.
by Gavin Glynn - Nov 30, 2025

DEATH OF A DRAG QUEEN is a hilarious glitter-streaked Southern gothic about love, loss, and the personas we build to survive. Set in a small Louisiana apartment doubling as a backstage dressing room, the play follows Cram Brulée—a fading drag legend—as she prepares for what might be her final performance. Haunted by memories and betrayals, Cram struts, spirals, and sews her soul back together in a one-drag queen showdown soaked in sequins and secrets. Equal parts camp and confession, it’s a lipstick-stained elegy for those of us who love too much, give too much, and believe in everyone but ourselves. Breaking new ground as a one actor/one drag queen live performance. 'Tuck after tuck, somethin's gotta give!'

Review: AVENUE Q at Split Stage Is A Hilarious Blast from an Imperfect Past
by Greg Kerestan - Jun 10, 2025

I'm a millennial, and a nerd. Of course I love Avenue Q. It reminds me of seventh through ninth grade, when the nascent internet first started spreading clips of the music from this 'raunchy puppet show on Broadway.'

Review: A Look Back at the Best of 2024; Thank God for Local Theatre

Review: SKIPPY AND BITSY’S ALL-STAR TV CHRISTMAS EXTRAVAGANZA at The Bent
by Kay Kudukis - Dec 18, 2024

It’s all in good (and a little naughty) fun at Skippy and Bitsy’s All-Star Christmas TV Extravaganza on “live television”. This is a tv special you might have run across while surfing cable access tv, or in an SNL Christmas skit from the 1980s where it’s live and it’s a trainwreck, and there ain’t nothing you can do about the disaster happening around you except punt and hope for the best.

Review: TROUBIES’ HOME ALONE-LY HEARTS CLUB BAND at Colony Theater
by Evan Henerson - Dec 15, 2024

The mixture this time around is entertaining if not the company’s A-game. HOME ALONE-LY HEARTS CLUB, while providing plenty of laughs, feels thin…thin on merriment, thin on satirical edge and certainly thin on script.
