Billboard, the leading destination for charts, news, trends and innovations in music, announces today its 14th Annual Women in Music Event, Presented by YouTube Music and hosted by Hayley Kiyoko. The high-profile event, held in conjunction with the release of Billboard's Women in Music issue, will happen on December 12 at the Hollywood Palladium in Los Angeles, California and will honor the most powerful female artists and executives in the industry including Alanis Morissette, Brandi Carlile, Desiree Perez and Nicki Minaj. Additional honorees of Billboard's 2019 Women in Music event will be announced in the coming weeks.

The Drama League announced today the 2020 line-up of DirectorFest: The 36th Annual Directors Festival, the only festival in the United States dedicated to the art of contemporary stage directing. For its 36th year, the festival will include six fully-staged productions, a showcase concert of a new musical, a town hall, and conversations with directors including 2017 Tony Award Winner Rebecca Taichman (Indecent), 2014 Tony Award Winner and 2010 Drama League Founders Award for Excellence in Directing Kenny Leon (A Soldier's Play), and Intimacy Director Claire Warden (HBO's Mrs. Fletcher).

Producers of the new musical JAGGED LITTLE PILL have announced the details for the show's digital lottery and general rush policies, launching today, November 5, 2019.

Atlantic Records has announced the release of 'JAGGED LITTLE PILL (ORIGINAL BROADWAY CAST RECORDING),' the official companion to the hugely anticipated new musical inspired by the groundbreaking album by Alanis Morissette. The eagerly awaited album is available now for pre-order HERE; all pre-orders will be joined by an instant grat download of 'You Learn' which is streaming HERE now.

You oughtta know that Jagged Little Pill is officially in preview son Broadway!  The new musical is inspired by the themes and raw emotions laid bare in Alanis Morissette's seminal album of the same name. The Healys appear to be a picture-perfect suburban family - but looks can be deceiving. When the cracks beneath the surface begin to show, they must choose between maintaining the status quo or facing harsh truths about themselves, their community, and the world around them.

Theatre Communications Group (TCG), the national organization for theatre, announces the recipients of the second round of the 2019 Edgerton Foundation New Play Awards. The awards, totaling $583,000, allow 15 productions extra time for the development and rehearsal of new plays with the entire creative team, hoping to extend the life of the world premiere play after its first run. 

Lincoln Center Theater, under the direction of André Bishop, has announced it will produce a new musical during its 2019-2020 season. FLYING OVER SUNSET, with a book and direction by James Lapine, music by Tom Kitt, and lyrics by Michael Korie, will feature choreography by Michelle Dorrance, and will begin previews March 12, 2020 and open on Thursday, April 16, 2020 at the Vivian Beaumont Theater (150 West 65 Street). Carmen Cusack, Harry Hadden-Paton and Tony Yazbeck will head the cast with additional casting to be announced at a later date.

FEINSTEIN'S/54 BELOW, Broadway's Supper Club, again presents a cast of Harvard and Yale grads in The Fifth Annual Harvard-Yale Cantata. Join us for a unique evening at Feinstein's/54 Below, with Team Harvard looking to avenge another lucky narrow victory by Team Yale.
