American Repertory Theater History
The American Repertory Theater (A.R.T.) at Harvard University is a leading force in the American theater, producing groundbreaking work that is driven by risk-taking and passionate inquiry. The Loeb’s 550 plus-seat theater is the venue for mainstage A.R.T. productions. The building also contains an experimental “black box” called The Ex that is used by the Harvard-Radcliffe Dramatic Club and by the A.R.T.’s Institute for Advanced Theater Training.
