Arts Off Broadway (AOB), the community and youth theatre founded in 2001, continues its Fall season with the story based on Charles Dickens' novel "Oliver Twist". This classic theatre production has a cast of 20 principal characters of all ages plus 40 support and ensemble roles.

AOB provides performing arts training for all ages and has produced 10 productions in the past two years with a live orchestra. Everyone who auditions is included in the training process and performs in the show. Auditions take place between 11AM and 3PM on Saturday, September 25, 2010 and Tuesday, September 28, 2010 from 6pm to 8pm at the California Center for the Arts, Escondido (CCAE), 340 North Escondido Blvd, Escondido, CA 92025 in Studio III. Rehearsal schedules are Tuesday & Thursday evenings (depending on the role) and Saturdays between 11am and 3pm. Public performances will be at the CCAE on November 19, 20, and 21, 2010.

Participants must audition with two contrasting monologues and a song to be considered for a principal role, or register no later than September 30th to receive one of the 40 supporting roles and be part of the excitement with acting, singing and dance training as an ensemble. Send an email to aobtheatre@aol.com to schedule an audition appointment. Bring a current photo that can be kept by AOB. There is no registration fee or tuition cost. AOB is requesting a $50 tax-deductible donation. A receipt will be provided for all donations. Ticket sales are required; each participant must sell 10 tickets or 15 per family. Fundraising incentives are available. Please email aobtheatre@aol.com or call (858) 254-3100 to reserve an audition time now.
