Gamut Theatre Group Presents First in Our Hearts 2/18-19
Gamut Theatre Group will present First in Our Hearts which will run Saturday, February 18 at 7:30 p.m. and Sunday, February 19 at 2:30 p.m. at Gamut Classic Theatre, located at 605 Strawberry Square, Downtown Harrisburg.
You can get into the patriotic spirit President’s Day weekend by seeing First in Our Hearts, a one-man show about George Washington.
Actor Jeff Greenawalt portrays George Washington in the historical character interpretation called First in Our Hearts. He presents Washington entertaining his guests on a typical day at Mount Vernon following the completion of his two terms as President of the United States. In addition to providing stories from Washington’s life, Jeff also gives the audience the opportunity to interact with him while he is still in character.
When asked what inspires him about Washington, Greenawalt says, “He was brave, generous, and quick to learn from his mistakes. What inspires me most is that he set a high standard of personal integrity for himself and he never compromised that standard.”
Tickets are $12 each and First in Our Hearts is part of Gamut Theatre’s Educational Outreach series.
