But sometimes, there is something magical about exploring a new way of telling a familiar story that elevates elements you missed while also bringing to life on stage favorite moments. The opening night galas at Theatre 29 have traditionally been a fund-raising opportunity for area nonprofits. Over the years groups like the College Foundation, Rotary Clubs, Library Friends, Reach Out, and others have raised thousands of dollars hosting the events. The opening Night of Roald Dahl’s “The Witches” on October 6, will also be a fund-raiser, but this time for the Theatre 29 organization itself.
